Art & Music: Traveling through the World

Students will study specific regions each session through art and music, including ancient to modern artistic expression and local culture and lifestyles. They will learn about different types of art and recreate their own versions weekly using appropriate materials. Students will also receive basic music education using instruments from specific regions, learn about storytelling through song and dance*, and learn from experts either through recordings, in-class visits, or through field trips*. Resources will also be provided for further study at home.

Cooking Adventures

Cooking Adventures is a hands-on cooking class for 4th-12th grade students who want to learn cooking skills while having fun. Each session focuses on simple, age appropriate recipes and techniques like measuring, kitchen safety, and cooking basics. Students will work together to create tasty dishes, build confidence, and explore new foods in a supportive environment.

This class is led by a experienced cooking instructor, Jamie Kingston, who has over a decade of experience teaching cooking classes in schools and the community.
